Verizon Wireless’ net new 1.1 million customers in the second quarter was less than the 1.4 million ATandT reported last week and the 1.2 million Verizon added in the first quarter. But the figure still represents a respectable gain, especially when considering that Verizon lacks ATandT’s not-so-secret weapon — the iPhone.
